Unit and Rounding Sanity Check
A cut plan can fail even when the layout is efficient. Before cutting:
- Confirm millimetres versus inches.
- Record dimensions at the precision your tools can reproduce.
- Do not round kerf to zero.
- Add any required trim or finishing allowance explicitly.
- Compare the sum of repeated part widths with the stock width.
- Re-check one printed dimension against the project drawing.
Use CutListEngine to generate candidate layouts, then validate the chosen plan against the real material and saw setup.
