Checking a solver result before playing it

Prepared by the operator of blockblast.co, an unofficial fan site independent of Hungry Studio.

A placement suggestion depends on the exact board and the pieces supplied. Treat the result as a route to check rather than a prediction about the next tray.

Before entering the position

Count eight rows and eight columns. Record filled and empty cells in a consistent direction. Copy each displayed piece with its original orientation. If one piece was already used, enter only the remaining pieces rather than recreating the original tray.

After screenshot recognition

Inspect every detected cell and each piece. A decorative highlight can look occupied; a cropped tray can omit part of a shape. A screenshot format the tool has not validated should be entered manually. Correcting the input matters more than repeating the same solve request.

Replay one step at a time

For each suggested placement, check that all piece cells fit inside the board and avoid occupied cells. Add the piece, then remove any full rows and columns before checking the next step. Do not compare the second suggestion against the original board: it assumes the first placement and its clears already happened.

Keep the limits clear

The independent Block Blast placement helper suggests placements for the current pieces. It does not predict future trays or reproduce the original app scoring. The browser puzzle on the same site has separate rules from Hungry Studio's app. If the input differs from the game on screen, re-enter the position before using a suggested route.

A useful troubleshooting report includes the starting board, shapes, expected placement, actual placement, and the first step where the states diverge. That is more actionable than a high score alone.
